Does Money Come When You Ask? Or At Least Once You’e Published a Book?

Hey, I need money… I am asking, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.  I wish.  I’ve published a book, and sales are fairly steady.

This does not mean that I have a lot of money coming my way, but rather that I wish it would arrive more steadily. After all, I am a writer…. and I’d rather not be starving (I am not now, but one day I would love to write full-time), and so this means I will be writing another book.

Some days I wish that money would come pouring into my hand, but that hand is something I will have to write more books with. Ahh, the writer’s life, it’s a job and then it’s a joy. Then it’s also a means to make money.

Once you’ve published a book, does the money come when you ask or does it come when you… work?
