Vanity Presses: Which Company would you say is a Vanity Press?
March 4, 2010
I admit right now, I do read a lot of blogs, but I tend not to comment, so there you go, but still on many there is a talk about publishing. Where you should go and where you shouldn’t go… So I’ll write down a list here and let you at it:
What I am trying to figure out is this: By their names which one is by reputation a vanity press and which one is more in line with a self-publishing press:
Xlibris
Outskirts Press
Random House Book
Create Space
Lulu Publishing
Here is my answer: first two– vanity press, next, traditional publishers, and the last two, both are self-publishing companies, provided you have your own ISBN.
