Books On Writing
Day12:
Truth be told: I am not a good editor. Any of you who follow my blog can attest to that. Of course, I love comments and most are some great ones which I try to think about.
One from yesterday was asking what books are good for writing? Well, I do like many of the writer’s digest books, all of them are useful. One that I am flipping through is 38 common mistakes fiction writers make… okay, so I make all of them to an extent.
One thing that it does mention is that you need a plan. Actually this works for non-fiction books as well. I found that made my writing for my non fiction to be better. If I can sum up my book in about 40 words, say a grade two level, then it is interesting and I understand my writing.
Great… no on to editing!
What I am reading?
I finished the Two Georges. Good novel, the plot is okay, the premise sound, but something is lacking. Though I am going to say you should read it anyways. You can get it at you local Library.
