How Can Writing Be of Value?
We are writers. We all are writers. If we write a blog post we become in the most basic sense a writer. There are many different levels to this “writer” term, but it is important that we understand this.
How can your writing be of value? Writers don’t like asking this sort of question, especially if there is a looming deadline for some of their writing. We need to have whatever we’re looking for finished. We also need to please whomever we are doing the writing for.
The same holds true with any writing really, if we are passionate about it, then our readers can feel it. This is one way that writing can be of value.
To truly understand if our writing is of value, it is up to our peers to comment or critique it. The more critiques you have the better. Making the critiques more public is also a way to improve as a writer. This short term pain is a way to make writing be of value. If we don’t like to listen then like a bad business, our readers will have reason to complain.
It is also a learning process. What we might think of as “good” is trash or fool’s gold to others. We need to be thinking of our readers in our writing process. In many ways this is how we build our writing skills and our value to others.
How can writing be of value? By listening to our growing writing views, and by listening to our readers. They are really the ones who make writing of value.

Good point! Because we are writing for the reader! When we accept input, our value in writing increases. Otherwise we are writing for just us…and most don't want that.
