Self-Publishing? Is It A Great Divide? Wrap Up
Welcome to all who are new and who visit her regularly. This is the wrap up: A series of questions where I go from extreme to reasonable… or at least in questions. I hoping this will get the discussion going, and that you’ll have some laughs, and something to think about.
Here we go!
If you decide to go with self-publishing, with all its myriad of options, how much would you be willing to spend?
What would make you consider a self-published book?
How thick is your rejection slips folder? (mine is gasp! 3 inches…)
What a “good” rejection to you?
Where would you want you manuscript to go? ( I use the term manuscript as I mean any type of writing.)
Do you believe in edit edit edit?
Get ready for tomorrow’s new series, Think Small in Writing?? What are You NUTS??

I do believe in edit edit edit. Yet, I think there has to be a point where enough is enough, and the time has to come to decide to shelve, self-publish, or keep querying. I think that eternal editing in its own way can be a block.

jennifer, I think in many ways you are much like me. And you make a great point.
There is a time to stop.

I'm still quandering about that. I have smaller things published but for the "big stuff" I'm not sure what I will do. You are amazing though to be able to write so faithfully about this same subject for so long. I think I said it before, but WOW. Well done.

A good rejectionis no rejection at all.
Pressed into a rejection, a personalized one.
