It didn't work for me. I post content on my blog on a regular basis and promote the blog, but clearly, my readers were not too keen to click on the ads. I only managed to earn about $100 over a year. It's a good thing I was already inclined to do the work on the site to promote my writing, or it would have been wasted effort.
Or maybe, it would would have worked better if I developed a niche site, instead of putting the adsense ads on my current blog?
I just started my blog a few days ago, so i do not have any experienc ewith adsense, but i think if the ads are unobtrusive and they support your blog financially, i say go for it.
However, i'm finding the trick is getting people to your blog to begin with. There are just so many blogs out there. Once they are there, I am sure a certain % will click over on the ads.
