Tuesday and The Publisher Is: DoubleDay

For those who are new to the publishing world this is the Tuesday Publisher. Each Tuesday I talk about a specific publisher and the likes and dislikes that we have about them. This week is Doubleday.

DoubleDay is a division of Random House, but since I wanted to draw attention this group here are the likes and dislikes:

Likes:

It’s a part of the big group called Random House, so it’s pretty well known
Many people go to it.
It can easily be found on google, and doesn’t have too much controversy.

Dislikes:

It’s a part of a big traditional publisher.
You’ll get editing and a good book all without much money on your part, but you might not get marketing.
It’s still up to you to get in and to sell that book.
