Writers Blocked
March 29, 2009
Day 3:
Okay, not too much to say about Writer’s Block…
Except that I have of course my own method of getting out of it. I just take a pen and paper and write: nonsense, words, anything to move my hand.
I know that some suggest to keep your fingers on the keyboard and type, but often that is the problem. I find that once I’ve moved to a different medium of writing my work comes back to me. A mental break I suppose.
No, I don’t look at what I wrote, I used to looking for that brilliant gem, but really that never happens, but I do write something.
Try it and see.
I did some cutting and pasting and a bit more cutting, but in the end I still was able to get 1,500 words down to text on computer.
