What it Means to Be Successful

Success is a journey not a destination.

You don’t have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great. Every mistake you make is still progress toward success.  Each step counts, and it is up to a person to choose what success means to them.

A book sold to a person not in your network can be a success, or it can be seen as a failure if you wanted to sell more, so even the definition of success is different to each person.

Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in your life, it’s about what you inspire other to do.  This can be writing or publishing a book, or making someone feel that they have success.  It is about inspiring dreams– in everyone.

Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do.  Attitude determines how well you do it. Keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things because curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

The difference between a successful person and those still striving for it is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.  In other words, just write, and keep going, and you will see more of what you want– success, books, writing, money, anything.

Believe in yourself; believe you can succeed.  How do you think of success?
